Car accidents are a major cause of deaths and injuries worldwide. Many accidents occur due to human error, such as driving under the influence of alcohol, fatigue, or distractions. To prevent such accidents, an alcohol detector system can be implemented in cars. In this project, an Arduino nano and a SIM808 module are used to build a Car Accident & Alcohol Detector System that sends an SMS with the live location of the vehicle when an accident occurs or if the driver consumes alcohol.

Working of Car Accident & Alcohol Detector System:

The Car Accident & Alcohol Detector System uses a combination of sensors to detect accidents, alcohol consumption, and high engine temperature. The sensors used are a shock sensor, an alcohol sensor, and a temperature sensor.

When the car experiences an accident, the shock sensor detects the sudden impact and sends a signal to the Arduino nano. The Arduino nano then uses the SIM808 module to send an SMS to a pre-defined number with the live location of the vehicle.

Similarly, if the driver consumes alcohol, the alcohol sensor detects it and sends a signal to the Arduino nano. The Arduino nano then sends an SMS to a pre-defined number alerting them of the situation.

Lastly, if the temperature of the engine goes beyond a certain threshold, the temperature sensor sends a signal to the Arduino nano, which then sends an SMS alerting the user of the high temperature.
